On the 10th of August, Phoebe Dordel (10b), organised a talk on GBV to mark Women’s Day South Africa.

Two amazing women were invited to come and talk to the Grade 10 learners about gender based violence. Both of these women do such important work to help address GBV in South Africa.

Tarisai Mchuchu-MacMillan is an advocate, as well as a crime and violence prevention specialist. She is the Executive Director of MOSAIC Training Services and Healing Centre for Women.
Nicole Mirkin is the Founder and Director of Fight Back SA, an organisation that provides self-defence classes for women and children in unsafe communities.

A huge thank you goes out to both Tarisai and Nicole as well as the learners and teachers involved.
